WAM essentially is a scouting company. Through our extensive contacts in countries such as Russia, Georgia, Ukraine, Belorus, we monitor works in progress of literally hundreds of promising artists, students and alumni of major East European art schools and academies. We are usually present during semi-annual exhibitions in the St Petersburg and Moscow academies of art; have our representatives walk most major art shows in Tbilisi, Kiev, Minsk and many other art centers of Eastern Europe.
Salon Gallery "Blue Hall" is located in the heart of St. Petersburg, between a splendid ensemble of St. Isaac's Square and the bustling Nevsky Prospekt. In the ancient halls of the house number 38 on Bolshaya Morskaya Street it was located the direction of the Imperial Theaters in Catherine's time. Here the Imperial Society for the Encouragement of Arts was located. And currently there is St. Petersburg Union of Artists.
Art Union called "Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions. 21st century (St.Petersburg)" was founded in 2005 in Saint-Petersburg in order to revive the best traditions of Russian art, known for works of Kramskoy, Perov, Shishkin, Myasoedov, Repin and other itinerants of the 19th century.
Unlike their predecessors, modern itinerants, along with a realistic (in it’s narrow sense) approach to art, offer another time-tested artistic concepts, which are close to the representatives of the "Art World", "Union of Russian Artists" and later to other associations and streams.
The Weatherburn Gallery is a Founding Member of the Naples Fine Art Dealers Association and as such adheres to a strict code of ethics and business practices. This is our guarantee:
The "AVS" Project - isn’t just one more Internet-shop that carries art items or a website on painting. We have decided to let you see the works of young painters – graduates of Saint Petersburg Repin Academical Institute of Art, Sculpture and Architecture.
